Workshop: Yoga for Hikers

This targeted workshop will show you how to create and use a yoga practice that will keep you healthy, prevent injuries, and support and improve your outdoor passions. You’ll take home yoga sequences to use before, during, and after your time on trail to keep you feeling your best and ready to take on more miles with ease.
- Detailed overview of the areas of the body most impacted by hiking, backpacking and trail running.
- How to use yoga to address and prevent injuries common to these activities.
- Explanation of yoga’s physical and mental benefits for hikers.
- Several sequences for at-home practice designed to warm up, build strength, and recover from challenging miles.
About the Instructor:
Caroline Iantosca (RYT-200) is an avid long-distance backpacker and trail runner. A former backpacking guide in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, she has thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, the South Island of New Zealand, and completed multiple trail races, covering over 4000 miles on foot. She is passionate about helping people feel better in their bodies and sharing the benefits of yoga in the outdoor space.
